Sprint adds 28 more cities to list of 4G LTE markets set to launch this year



Sprint is in a distant third-place among the major U.S. carriers, but the company is working hard to improve its standing in terms of 4G LTE availability. Sprint announced that it has begun work in an additional 28 markets, which puts the carrier close to 200 markets that it expects to have 4G LTE available to consumers by the end of the year. Following the trend of previous announcements, the latest cities added to the list are in small markets spread through the South, Midwest, and Northeast regions of the U.S. The list of cities includes:

- Bay City, MI
- Branson, MO
- Bremerton/Silverdale, WA
- Columbus, GA
- Columbus, MS
- Decatur, AL
- Florence/Muscle Shoals, AL
- Gadsden, AL
- Gaffney, SC
- Gettysburg, PA
- Glasgow, KY
- Homosassa Springs, FL
- Hot Springs, AR
- Lake City, FL
- Lake Havasu City/Kingman, AZ
- Midland, MI
- Nacogdoches, TX
- Opelousas/Eunice, LA
- Oxford, MS
